GEOLOGIST/ENGINEER
SENIOR LEVEL

Job Description:

  • Phase I and Phase II Assessments (ESA), remedial investigations and/or feasibility studies

  • Conducting Project Management duties and associated with State and Federal EPA regulations, especially with IEPA – SRP & LUST Regulations and reimbursement programs.

  • Database management; implementing and analyzing aquifer tests

  • Writing Remedial Investigation Reports, Remedial Action Work Plans, Remedial Action Completion Reports and other technical reports

  • Performs hydrogeological assessments regarding groundwater flows to identify contamination impact and related concerns

  • Researches information relating to identifying geological formations and soil delineation studies and prepares reports and geological maps based on the findings

  • Participates in the identification and design of viable remedial solutions consistent with all federal, state, and local regulations

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, and/or Geology

  • 2-5+ years of experience in related field

  • Competent technical report writing skills

  • Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel

  • Successfully perform job duties with limited supervision​

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency in common computer software including Environmental Data Base Management, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and Outlook

  • Willingness to work an average of 50% field and 50% office

GEOLOGIST/ENGINEER
entry LEVEL

Job Description:

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
MANAGER LEVEL POSITION

The Environmental Engineering Manager will play a two-fold role within the firm:  overall strategic direction and management and day to day performance of environmental consulting/engineering related duties which include:

  • Strong technical management oversight

  • Client service delivery and business development

  • Profit/loss management

  • Personnel management

  • Soil/groundwater sampling

  • Phase I and II ESAs, remedial investigations and/or feasibility studies

  • Asbestos and lead based paint testing, analysis and interpretation

  • Report writing

  • Project management

  • Developing and penetrating market segments

  • Geological related services (if applicable)

 

Required Experience:

  • Strong Phase I and II ESA experience

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Soil/groundwater sampling

  • Strong writing techniques

  • Asbestos and lead based paint projects

  • Knowledge of local technical requirements for site remediation

  • Experience with state agencies. City of Chicago and GSA experience is a plus.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Science, Environmental, Geology, Chemical or Civil Engineering (with Environmental focus)

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Environmental Consulting

  • 2+ years supervisory experience

  • PE or PG certification/licensure preferred

  • Effective communication skills

  • Commitment to accuracy and detail

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment while adhering to client timeframe expectations
